Super fun day out w Michaella! Her first summit of the 1st and first Trifecta. She did really great, so psyched for her. It seems like some mountain athlete skills are starting to poke out from beneath the whole collegiate-runner/actually-a-real-athlete thing..

Scrambled Freeway, was quite warm and lots of folks were out. DEF was fairly quiet and already basically in the shade by 1... was a bit sad climbing in sideways dying light at like 1:30. Ran into Jacob Barnett around lunch ledge, we shot the shit on the way up to the slot.

Short roped M up the North Arete, rapped (too cold for a summit hang), cranked half a sprouts sando, and took the connector down to the 3rd. Ran into Ben P and Jacob and co at the base, fun bullshitting with them on the way up. Michaella and I climbed the 3rd on Sunday so it went quite smoothly this time, I even knew where the eyebolts were!

Quick couple of raps than ran the bluebell road while eating cheezeits and takis. And now we feast!
