These are the rides that make cycling the best. Cold, dark, wet, snow, slippery leaves, one gear, slow, and random hobos yelling at you from the dark on the JRP. ❤️

If you're going to be stuck in one gear combo, 36-14 isn't too bad. Low enough to climb and high enough not to spin out until 19+ mph

My ride was cut short due to a mechanical, but Ed White and Tyson Clarke went another 10 miles without me and crashed while crossing some train tracks, then limped home - one with a mangled front wheel and broken fork (he didn't realize until finishing) and the other with a broken left brifter. I didn't hit the 4x'Marathon' I had planned on, but only the return ride to start was left and I was feeling good.
