Skied at an easy to steady effort in Marquette. Started from the Forrestville trailhead, went up along the Noque(manon), came back via Animoosh and a side trip along Mukwa to Chiwaji. Good glide and sufficient kick. Felt great to reach and hold fast-ish paces in the final 1.50-ish kilometers … even if it was all along downhill. Drifted snow and fallen leaves / branches / twigs from strong winds overnight masked the groomers’ hard work in machine packing the trails.

One encounter with a leashed dog on Noque AND two encounters with unleashed dogs on Animoosh weren't fun. If not for Shannon Handler-suggested airplane pose drills, I too would have been wiped out when the dog took out the owner. Chatted with Greg Borzick in afterwards. Pleasant weather. Good outing.
