Little late leaving but arrived around 9am and it took a few minutes for them to even start the welcome talk! But no rain and warmish temperatures made quite pleasant conditions compared to what had been forecast.

Planned to keep the heart rate around 155 and I think I did that nicely. Not very easy to overtake as most other people faded towards the end.

It was a nice course to me and while it avoids overtaking lapped runners it also seems slower with some non-tarmac sections.... I'd be interested to know how the average times compare. 

Ran out of energy around 3km with no water or fuel this run, so time to refuel now 🍰
