3hr ride/push/hike.  Favorite Cousin finally got name of her grandfathers old mine & today I went to check out our family vacation spot in about 1975 or so! Gone is the house, the stamp mill & though I found mine shafts, I couldn’t find the one that was closest to the stamp mill, but I also ran out of time after that stupid ass hike, a bike up from the river! There’s a segment I won’t defend… supposed to be zone today, but you can’t get out of that Canyon and keep your heart rate in zone 2. Much of it is 20%+ loose rock scramble pushing the bike!
