Absolutely stunning hike on our last day!  We went around the entire volcano crater rim trail down to the bottom,  the across the crater floor - it’s 400” of hardened lava, was that much deeper before the 1959 eruption - then back up to the top and around the backside for a down & up again…
Stunning landscape and vegetation, also saw some cool Hawaiian birds.
