Rare is the ride where I get a flat AND still do my intended distance - and this wasn’t one of them.  The flat happened at mile 114.  I was looking to do at least 150, and probably was going to end up closer to 160.

I did get lucky that the flat happened not far from the BWI Amtrak station (as long as you know where the hidden shortcut is from MDOT HQ), so that’s where I fixed the flat. I got even luckier that there wasn’t a MARC train passing through any time soon - or else I would have been on it (and ended up with an even shorter ride).  Most times, it’s just so hard to mentally recover from a flat and still go the intended distance.
