Was looking for some intensity and that’s what I got. 199 riders subscribed to the race but only 27 started. One of them was clearly on a dumb trainer or something because he came flying by with 5.5w and kept that pace right till the finish. I was suffering in his wheel for the first half, but he slowed down a bit to 5.0w and I found my pace in his wheel. Did not feel guilty because hey, it’s your responsibility to get a decent trainer when joining a race (or he was a professional rider and then shouldn’t complain either 😅). At the last uphill section placed my sprint at 500m to go and he didn’t even accelerate. Oh well, got my intensity!
