Main focus this winter will be Hyrox Taipei. I'm already running at the "elite" level (3:30/km is not a problem) and my ergs are very competitive too, so there are about 100 training sessions between today and me breaking 60 for a shot at the podium in Taiwan.

I really enjoy this "hybrid athlete" approach and I encourage any friends who are getting tired of the Z2 slog to give it a shot.

Ideally, a miracle occurs and I can also take my aerobic fitness to the next level despite keeping mileage in the 50s. Such a breakthrough would entail running 69/70 in the half marathon at the end of March. More likely, I'll settle for a modest PR in the 1:14 range.

It's pretty much time to hang up the spikes, but if the strength is there and I'm healthy, I don't think that running 1:56/1:57 late in the outdoor season is out of the question. That will be my late spring target, but if I can actually chase podium finishes in Hyrox, I will try to squeeze in a few more of those instead.

I qualified for the Berlin Marathon and entered the race. I don't have strong expectations here, but will make a decision in late April kind of like I did this year.
