Trying out the custom 3D printed clown shoes from HEZO. For the first impressions they feel very weird. They are wide enough, who would have thoughts. The toe box is way too high though and for 3D printed shoes they feel like they have too much material there. A synthetic leather upper works with much less material. The supposed built-in arch support feels non existent, which makes it feel like all the power is going through the ball of the foot. They are very difficult to tighten, tightening mostly the front putting unnecessary pressure on the toe box but are too loose on the heel and ankle. This is amplified by the pressure going through the ball of the foot, causing the forefoot to spread. In my opinion the forefoot and toes can almost float freely if you just fixate the ankle well enough. The Lake CX201 and Lore 3D printed shoes are taking that approach.
