FTP test before breakfast

a zone 2 type 2 fun kinda ride.  if I had known I would be out all morning, could have should have would have eaten breakfast!  If I had known it would rain for real 25 mi from home I would have brought a shell and second gloves!  hours of warm clammy soggy hands almost take it to type 3 tbh.  strafed and humbled by an improvised ride with mediocre preparedness 😂

seem to be having the old man problem of not being able to sleep past 5 or 6, no matter how tired I am. Worked for a couple hours and then set out for sunrise with low expectations… after more than 2 inches of rain at the house yesterday trails were soaked!  Improvised and rode through town and tunnel — took it very easy all day.  nimitz way past inspiration point was really nice, but then the weather closed in when I reached the end of the pavement!  It was fun to see a calf trying to get some ravens to play with him :-)

soaked, I started to make my way home and really wished I had a second pair of gloves and more food.  I started fading a bit 2 hrs in, and had to ration my 3 gummies and 2 stoop waffles 😅. couldn’t stay in z2 on South Park drive with the sustained steeps and my gearing, but kept it as relaxed as I could all day.  I was pretty tired at the end of this ride — fuel makes a difference!
