Lost some fitness. Only direction from here is up! What I don’t get is the 20 minute effort… it’s been a while since I’ve done this. I thought I could hit 205 watts as a target, but I quickly faded. Their advice is that if you can rally toward the end, then you didn’t go out hard enough in the beginning, but I felt like I went too hard at 205. The last 6 minutes though I started feeling really good… Like if I could go another 5 minutes it would have brought my 20 minute average to 210+ watts instead of… I think it was 194. Not sure what to make of that. I’ve been noticing that 30 to 40 minutes into a ride I seem to get a boost of power the past few months. Maybe I need to warmup for 30 minutes next time?
