Promised my Mam that I'd do the "Stephen's Day 8k with my brothers", only found out it was a 10k a week after promising her.
Goal was to go Sub-60, Strava reckons I did a 59:45.
Had to stop for a Piss at 5k-ish, paused the watch. At 8k, I ran a 6:20, and I had to decide, how badly I wanted that Sub-60. Cracked out the David Goggins Mantras. I was gonna carry the boats and the logs.
Pulled it back with a 5:50 and a 5:20.
