Not fasted. 38.0 pound ruck at the end*. Loaded ice hat, T-shirt, three well placed pads, shorts, trail shoes. No spikes. No handhelds, gloves or hat.

*Lately, I've been running using a bladder rather than handhelds. My pack weighed 38.0 after I got back to 4744, but there was still some (yet to be measured) Tailwind water in my bladder. IIRC, my ruck was 35.8 "dry" earlier this morning, but I was in a bit of a rush.

I use the same playlist for this run and I do this run basically every other week and have done so for years, with the last update to my playlist being in 2019. However, apparently after an iOS upgrade, I wound up with "crossfade" turned on, which I think shortens every song by about three seconds, so I had a hard time knowing just how well I was doing, but I was almost at the end of a song, so I sprinted to my van to be sure to touch my van before the song ended ... and I tripped, hard!

I'm fine. It's been a few hours and my skinned knee is not stiffening up. I'll have a reminder bruise on my shoulder.

It's hard to compare La Luz runs because the amount of snow can make a pretty big difference. It's been so warm that I did not run with even my EXOspikes and except for just a little bit of gray ice before the plate, I wouldn't have wanted them anyway. So, lack of spikes speeds me up, but heat slows me down and it was hot!

Tomorrow is The Grinch Lunch at Sunday Service Motor Co., which is why I chose to do my La Luz run today rather than tomorrow. If you're in town, consider dropping by either to run or drink or socialize or all three.
