Joined Colby Gallagher ‘s gnarly festival 500 for a "light ride" and got way too excited. Ended up turning it into a 282-mile solo mission.
The trip home was pure drama: a loose freehub in the snow, a drowned Garmin, and navigating by memory. Once I finally got the Garmin working, it routed me onto an icy trail where I crashed hard—bloody knee and a broken light.
Under-prepared and totally burnt out, but I made it home in under 24 hours. Colby is a beast!
