2025 is thankfully done and dusted.

Hands down the least motivating year I’ve ever had on the bike — and yeah, that’s 100% Austin, TX. The cycling here just doesn’t hit. I truly miss the East Coast riding and community.

Looking ahead, 2026 will be a different kind of challenge: no race license renewal, no crit scene in Central Texas, and the few group rides I’ve tried? Way too sketchy for my taste.

Onto the good stuff. I’m already back at my preferred riding weight, now it’s time to rebuild the engine. Solo rides will be the move (always have been, especially here).

Got some riding trips on the calendar too: Miami, DMV, and New York.

And above all else, my #1 love and priority will always be my wife and daughter. Everything else is just miles.
