SB comes to Truckee the day before I go to SB

That was the most brutal mud I’ve ever experienced in my life. We had to carry our bikes, which weighed 50 pounds with all the mud, for at least 6 miles from painted rock to Santa Barbara Canyon.

Fortunately, we made it to the one store in new cuyama before it closed, where I was able to build myself a high-tech cold-weather kit out of garbage bags and duct tape

I must have a short memory because I haven’t been stuck in the mud like that for several years, but I should’ve known better than to go back there a few days after it poured. 

That said Chris is probably the best person to be stranded in the wilderness with when things go south!

Despite getting banned nearly spent the night in sub freezing temperatures in the wilderness and had to ride all of Highway 166 with no lights, it was a great day!
