Starting the year with recovery

Quick recap of 2025. It was a good year, mainly because I was relatively healthy. Except for a week of Covid at the start, was able to ride all year. 
I met almost all my goals. Aimed for 12k miles. Finished with 11,769. Performed well at the races I did. Third at Unbound 100 in AG despite being the oldest in the group. Won my AG qualifier for UCI worlds gravel, although didn’t go as Netherlands was not my sort of course. Even scored a few KOMs along the way, a rarity for me anymore. 

In general, got fitter even at 70. FTP increased a few watts, and even VO2 max increased by a couple. 

Best part was being able to ride on a daily basis in a great cycling community. Shared lots of coffee, beer, and laughs with great people.
