To grandmother's house we went

I sure do love riding in Forest Park!  

Had a surprisingly nice ride, though the weather was not very nice and there were exactly 2 other cyclists out there during my 22mi out-and-back in the woods.  Fair number of walkers/runners.  It sprinkled for the first couple hours and closer to rained the last hour.  Feet were cold but not numb the last 4/5 of the ride.

Didn't make great time in the muddy gravel, but also had pretty good traction all things considered (it was raining most of the time, almost no dry spots, and my tires were a bit overinflated for conditions).  Also didn't dilly-dally; kept moving to keep warm.

Rain Legs (and wool clothes, with some ski gloves) were the right choice; I was fairly comfortable temperature-wise despite the Garmin reading 36 degrees the whole ride.  It also read 100% battery the whole ride, so I have some side eye for it...but I'm gonna trust it for speed and distance since that did seem to line up with perceived effort/past recordings.

I also considered titling this ride:

- I love wool clothing
- I trusted the weatherman's lies again
- icicle? Shmicycle - bicycle!
