Read a geological map and found the layer next to my house, although I thought it must be some limestone, is the Kaibab limestone, the top layer of the grand canyon! So cool. It blows my mind thinking the rest of the layers and all that history is under my feet thousands of vertical feet below. Crazy displacement from the laramide orogeny. Ran an exploratory route and glad for it as I saw the full moon rise. I take that as hope for a good 2026.
