In what was a return to virtual racing since last year's pre-season competitive events, I couldn't get on top of the gear today & was always scrambling to just hold the wheels on the main climbs & stay in contact OTT, then recover downhill b4 the next battering at 5w/kg+ as the road rose again. Hung in there though satisfied with the effort on what was a brutal parcours & probably too hard a test of condition for a 1st outing...
spent almost as much time in threshold zone as in tempo & not an insignificant amount in VO2. Gonna need a good long recovery ride tomorrow morning.
