Quitting drinking just as Covid started was really mentally tough, kids were mostly home doing virtual school, most stores closed at night, “except for liquor stores”, …figured if I can make it through that maybe the rest wouldn’t be as hard (it was at times) …and here we are.
     I figured as time goes on, if I could run a mile for every year sober, maybe I’ll be able to complete a marathon when I am 74 😄
      Cycling and running pretty much saved my life, and I want to thank all my friends who I ride with because you were a huge help and support. I wear my feelings on my sleeve, if anybody ever needs to talk about stuff like this, I’d be more than happy to help and be of support with complete anonymity. 
    It sounds cliché, but if I can quit, anyone can and I mean that.
