With a dusting of snow pellets, the conditions were incredible. Fast glide and plenty of grip on the fish scales. I've been wanting to do this route (or some close variation) for a while now - the river was frozen solid. Charlie and I ran into someone with a dog at the Nashwaak flats on the south side of the river. He mentioned poor placement of No Trespassing signage in that, it was impossible to know you weren't supposed to be there until it was way too late. He recounted having to kill a coyote to protect his dog a couple of weeks a go... yikes! We finished with a bunch of laps at the South Devon Resort and headed home through the colourful lights. Northside best side.
