The roads are pretty chaotic but it actually results in feeling safer. There are lots of scooters zipping around, sometimes in the wrong direction, little trucks, tuktuks, and more. The drivers, especially the trucks, give me lots of room! Everyone honks but it's in a "hey I'm going to pass you, beep" not a "get off the road, beep".

When I'm riding first my radar beeps (little beep), then the truck honks (big beep), then they pass!

I've left the stunning Karst mountains for some regular old ones. I love all mountains though. The mountains today reminded me oddly of Montana. Like a tropical version. Citrus has been swapped for lumber and sugar cane.

So many people try and talk to me! I really wish I could speak more than two words (hello, thank you). We use translation apps but it's just not the same. Chinese people are super kind. Today I was given a cigarette, which I politely declined (well, as politely as I could given that literally I can't say no) and fruit!
