Being a bit wet and miserable, I thought it best to return to Bedgebury. Big mistake! Despite the drizzle, the fire roads were covered in a thin sheet of ice that made for seriously sketchy running. Nearly went over a few times, and tweaked my calf tendon again as a result ☹️ Resorted to running on the verges mostly. 

Saw a mountain biker totally wipe out on the ice as he sped across the fire roads from trail exit to entrance. Fortunately the bike was okay. He was as well. 

Islay found the ice a little disconcerting at times too, which was quite amusing. 

With all the danger, I curtailed the run a little. A shame, as I seem to have put on 4 kilos over Christmas 😲
