Great start to the ride. Three herons and two little egrets when I reached the canal. To top it all off I spotted a kingfisher flashing past as I went through Witton.
Nice to be able to roam free now the snow and ice has gone.
Almost all the ice has gone. A few stubborn bits in parks and on side roads so be mindful out there and stay safe.
The rain that was forecast doesn’t show all day. No, it waits for me to finish work 😩
The forecast snow and rain didn’t happen overnight. It’s still cold and icy and the frozen snow is so compacted it’s like steel. Very slippery on roads and the footpaths are scary to walk on.
