Really pleased that I managed to complete it, but did I enjoy it?  I’m not sure at the moment!

Toughest race I’ve ever done, especially the Cam High Road. Had a bit of everything, beautiful snowy day Saturday (I was running in just a base layer) then torrential rain and gusts on Sunday.  On Sunday the paths were either waterfalls or sheet ice.  They put in a diversion due to the high winds and ice so we didn’t go up Pen-y-Gent.

Pleased with how things strength wise, didn’t faff about too much, and actually wish I’d got an hours sleep at the checkpoint.  Managed it with a 5 min power nap under a tree in the rain, mainly due to being so delirious and all over the place.  Had lots of mild hallucinations and was shouting rubbish at the top of my voice along the Cam High Road - the most god forbidden place I’ve been to.  

Did most of it on my own apart from over Fountains Fell where I worked together with someone due how dangerous it was.

Only downside was fuelling, Saturday was fine and managed to get in 50-60 grams of carbs an hour (far to much with hindsight), but paid the price over Saturday night and Sunday  where I never managed to get rid of nausea and didn’t really eat anything else.

Thanks for all those who supported me.  Summer Full Spine next - definitely considering life choices.
