Easy along the coast from Volos

Hello Pelion peninsula

Leisure start of the day, finding coffee beans, grinding manually, brewing with great care, then spilling it all over the van floor 🙈😄 that's why I only made it through 3km of the big initial climb to Chania (0->1200m)until giving in for coffee break. Quiet place, good music, high above the city in a posh neighborhood.

After the top at Chania, the (former) ski resort from two days ago, I dressed up for a freezing long descent back to the sea level on the northeastern side. Patches of icy road so had to take it very slowly. loooong descent. 

Zagora, small town on the north. then started climbing along the eastern side, steeper, spectacular views of cliffs and canyons ending up in the sea, and many beautiful mountain villages, Agios Dimitros, Tsagkarada where they "do canyoneering" according to a mountain equipment shop . Cold, perhaps only a few hours of sunshine in a winter day behind the mountain. I chased the evening sun to the top to descend with it back to the Volos sea side. but missed it  by minutes. slow movingtoday with the numerous sightseeing stops and icy descent.

Boiling sausages for dinner, hope for the best to keep them in the crate and not join the coffee 😂
