Anaerobic intervals so it's not going to be roll along, easy, pleasant, Oh look - I'm on the turbo. Painfully, hard far from it.

The warm intro for once was kind. Lengthy, generous and not out of the ball park capable. Then we got started on the six intervals of increasing wattage but decreasing time.

I hit them all but experienced a serious dollop of sufferfest as the session unfolded to the extent that it was grit and technique that saved me, pure grit that set me up, and going to the limit that got me near to knowing I'm going to nail this.

I'm not enjoying the turbo.

I'm a long way off that, down on power and just finding it really tough.

But .............. there's only way way to go so get on with it.
