Trail breaking with my Fischer otx traverse. I waxed the tails and tips at the start of the season but not the grip track in the center. Why wax the grip part right? Well the new snow was bunching up there and ruining my glide. I’m taking them down cellar and cleaning and waxing the center shortly; the grip is mechanical and will still be fine after waxing I think.
Still a really enjoyable ski. I like how floaty these fat skis are in deep untracked new snow. We have close to 6” here at 3:00 and it’s still coming down.
