Merry Christmas from (a slow) Page Mill

Happy Thanksgiving from Page Mill, I missed you too!

It was way wormer than I expected! When I left home, it was 44F and it warmed up to 46F in Morgan Hill, but when I arrived at the HQ, it was already 61F (inversion?) and peaked at 72F (22C).

The steep climb to Blue Ridge nearly killed me. Had to wait 10 mins at the bench to recover and wasn't really going fast from that point.

Met only 1 group of 3 people in the first 4h of hiking and then ran into a group of high-schoolers in China Hole, mostly girls many wearing biking (!!) and enjoying this super warm day! The water was super cold - I was considering swimming a bit, but it's still Jan and temperatures are low (can't wait for March!).

The way back to the HQ was a slog. I couldn't recover from the earlier steep climb and had to stop from time to time, despite HR being kind of low. Not sure what really happened, but I only managed to recover fully at the top of Manzanita Rd.

In overall, another beautiful day in my favorite park!
