Don't tell my p t or my doctor but I just couldn't pass up the sun and forty degrees today. Went out for what turned out to be a pretty grueling ride. Definitely a bit premature as I am only a little over 2 months out of surgery. But as long as I don't fall, I should be fine and I didn't fall, so I am fine.

Only 40 miles, but some pretty tough climbs ranging from 10% to as much as 17% grade for long stretches.

Found some awesome gravel on completely isolated fire roads that had absolutely no vehicle traffic. 

The last twelve to fifteen miles were pretty brutal with strong headwinds , and by that point the sun had dipped pretty low and was providing no warmth.
