It's gotten cold

Tough. Mostly ran with Luke. We got separated with about 12k to go. From 9k to go I just wanted it to end.
I got passed with 2.5k left by a lady going a little faster than my tired shuffle. I managed to latch on to get a drafting benefit (negligible) but I just ran to her pace for a while. Near the end I saw my average pace was still on 5:30/km and I didn't want it to go up so I found a little more speed for the final km or so.
I carried 2 gels but didn't eat them. I stopped at all-but-one feed stations for 2 cups of coke/lucozade/water and chocolate and/or jelly babies/beans. The one I missed was the marathon turnaround point as it was heaving.
Lovely pint of IPA at the end.
So all in all a good day out. Lucky with the weather. 50k PB on minimal training after a month of injury. And a bonus last minute injury reset my pace expectations (probably did me a favour) but was just about ok on the day.
