Well done Tobit that's a long way.
Awesome stuff Tobit, well done!
Well done tobit superb
Fabulous running, great photos. Elevation profile looks tough. How are you feeling and would you recommend it as a race? Well done
That's awesome. I can only imagine how mentally and physically tough this must have been when your body is screaming at you to stop. I find 26.2 hard enough, another 18 must be like torture.
Great to meet you Tobit - lovely photos, comments on the button, and well done.
What a great run Tobit!! Lovely pics too - bloody well done! Hope you have a large pint in hand now :0)
Epic. Well done on defeating the niggles. Splendiferous!!!
Brilliant work. Hell of a long way and nailed
Superb stuff Tobit, that looks like one tough race, well done on getting the job done :)
thank you all so much for your kind words, to answer some questions / make some comments
Con, the shirt was great, although someone wanted to know where my tie was. I told them ties are for weekdays
Sarah - it is a truly spectacular and brutal run, and bar a 6 or so mile stretch of road / pavement, its mostly single track, involving boulder fields, jungle like sections, many many steps, scrambling and some of the most amazing views I have ever run walked to!
Scott - yep - I was pretty close to stopping a couple of times, and close to tears more than once - it was relentless!
Sounds like a great challenge!
Mike - thanks - you did well too!
Kate, no pint, but tea, snickers, ice-cream and peanut butter cookies
Andrew - the hardest run I have ever done!
I will add something by way of description, and some more photos at some point!
Well done Tobit ya did great :) Cracking photos too! Capture the essence of the terrain and views. How fun those boulders at St Loy!?!?
Excellent run Tobit
Chapeau Tobit. Truly incredible feat of endurance. Well done old chap and money raised for a worthy cause too.
Looks like a tough one. Awesome work!
Totes amazeballs ;-)
Amazing Tobit. Super duper
This one has just gone on The List.
some more photos added - I'm glad I took them, a reminder of the epic-ness of the run. I don't seem to have any of steps up the side of Minack, possibly for fear of falling off them (here is a taster, they get steeper http://www.360degreebeaches.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/porthcurno2-e1425843707253.jpg)
Thanks Tom - how are you feeling today?
thanks Joe, Gareth, Martin, Andy, Mel and Johnny
Do it Con - despite the pain, I am already planning my revenge for next year. if you do though, train for steps, thats my advice, and if you have hills where you drop 150ft over about 25 meters, and then go straight back up, that will help too!
Excellent Tobit. Looks truly brutal. + what Scott said
A little stiff in the knees and eating tank loads. Got some serious tan lines and my left shoulder is a lot redder than my right! (forgot the suncream) So you are thinking about next year already then? :)
apps ont he suncream front Tom - I remembered to put the factor 30 on! Definitely looking to come back next year. At least now I know what to expect!
I think that should say 'oops on the suncream' Tom. still fatigued.
Cracking run geezer!
Well Done That's some going
Top stuff Tobit. Bet that's a tough course!
thanks Phil. Thanks Mark - tough is an apt descriptor... you should add it to your race diary next year!
