Previously 11:17:54. I think this is my PR for elevation and duration. Very challenging and beautiful. Highlights were Alander Mt, the cliffs of Race Mt, and Sages Ravine. Only lousy spot was the road section along Rt. 44. Plenty of water stops to remain hydrated. Filter bag was leaking so drank most of it straight (which I often do from pristine Mtn streams). Had a low spot around Sages so took a long break and drank from the ravine which I think helped me commune with the Ancient Sages of Ultra, and felt great after. It's amazing the places your mind can go in ultra running, along with such strong physical and emotional upheaval. The Sages told me the mantra is "everything must pass". (What was in that unfiltered Sage water!?). Ran strong in the final 10 miles.
