Congratulations Pete on blitzing your first marathon! Lee, Rohan and I were waiting at the MCG entrance to cheer you on but you had already finished. Thank you also for the training at Westerfolds on Sunday too. Recover well. :-)

Well done Pete. I'm guessing this was a sans-pram run.

Thank you all. I'm absolutely delighted to have run the distance today. Sneaking into the 'G before the clock struck eleven was the icing on the cake.

It was warm out there all in black, but I had to wear my Westerfoldians' shirt: I can't imagine a more inclusive, more encouraging and just generally wonderful bunch of people. I was proud to represent you in the today's event!

Particular thanks to everyone who has joined me on my training runs: parkruns, Lapsterfolds, Tan Track Time Trials, darkruns, runs to work, and so on. You are all awesome . I had no idea long distance running could be such fun.

And now to spend a few extra hours a week with those special people who've put up with my absence over the past five months while I've been training... Kirsty, Eamonn and Dara... Couldn't have done it without them!

  19. Roger L

Great work Pete! Unfortunately, wasn't able to find you on the course, otherwise I'd have run with you a bit.

  20. Scott Trickett
