Out of the water, now it's time to motor.  Pretty chilly for the first hour or two, but was just so glad to be done with the swim that I didn't care. I stuffed gloves and sleeves in my jersey but never ended up putting them on. 

Settled into 265 NP and made sure I kept the nutrition coming in. I had about 500g of carb mix and electrolytes in the reservoir and aero bottle to start, and added water to the aero bottle at every other aid station. No solids. 

Thanks to Jake and Kyle for calling out splits on course! For the first 60ish miles I thought it was just for my age group, but realized near the end that we were leading the race! Super fun seeing those guys and my family out on course.

Ended up launching my aero bottle (and Garmin, RIP) into oblivion over a bump on the bike course, so went without water for about 30min after mile 93. Didn't panic though, just rode more conservatively without a power reading so I wouldn't overcook it. All in all, pretty happy with that split on a difficult course.

And I got the Meat Sweats KOM! 😃
