need to do one camping trip a week to enjoy summer.  this week i got my gravel bike back, so road trip up to moshannon forest and bald eagle forest.

Got at sb elliot park by 8am and on road by 8:30am.  Knew four run road have trucks.  seen 8 logging trucks, water tanker, and back hoe before hitting my first turn at mile 6.  I missed a turn on laurel run road since my garmin showed 2 routes.

That down side of following a race route where ryan had us doing crazy loops.  After I got done i figured he found the easiest climbing loop in the forest.  I ended up riding the race course backwards,  Did over 1000 ft more climbing than my race and i didn't ride the course.

I did one thing bad for day (not really a bad thing),  I ran into a guy walking on road with tripod and camera.  This was at mile 15 and 1 hour into ride.  He was from columbus ohio retire history teacher.  We got along real good and i spent about 2.5 hours talking with him.

Notice it was after lunch and then proceed to finish my ride for 3 hours more.  That why i got done after 4pm.  The timbering made it challege to find which roads to hit and keep alert for cdl trucks.  

Bottom of shaggy rd i had 3 trucks parked in road and blocking intersection.  They were timbering 2 miles down road last year so looks like it moved to top finally.

I seen brush cutter where it was a dingo machine with big saw blade turn side ways cutting brush out,  That what they do to get trees ready to cut and harvest.  Some spots they did control burns, but it too windy now to do it that way.

Got over rb winter park at 6pm to camp for the night.  Boy was my bike dusty.  When i came passing the log trucks and pickups it seem like my army days on tank trails.  You have a cover over you nose and face to help with dust.
