Need to fix my road bike

Wow what a day. Solo running from before sunrise to after sunset was truly a journey but I’m happy I did this and set a new fkt by 50 minutes! Legs felt pretty solid, but the heat/sun really got to me. Felt good on the first half but by the second half the sun was out in full force and the second half is more open with less water sources and bigger climbs and more technical trails. Mouth felt dry pretty early on and stayed that way to the end no matter how much water I drank, which made eating solid food difficult and I realized I should’ve brought more gels. Turns out running for this long will leave you with lots of random bruises and chafing that you’ve never experienced. But what a beautiful day and a beautiful route!! Huge thank you to Blake Slattengren, Kyle McCrohan, Kelly Jiang, Uli Steidl, and Trisha for being at the finish!!
