Hartland Devon EX39 6DT

The sixth Hartland Hartbreaker will take place on Sunday May 6th 2018, the race will start at 11am. There will be a strict limit on race numbers 300 runners MAX. There are no entries on the day under any circumstances.

Once entered, there are no refunds, you may change the name on the entry until 2 weeks before the race; after that date there are absolutely no changes at all.

If you enter the 18 mile race and you want to drop down, you can do so up to 2 weeks before hand online; if you wait until the day, you will probably not get a Hartache t shirt or medal unless we have some spare left over.

If you win a prize, you need to hang around to collect it as we will not be posting trophies out, they'll go on my mantelpiece and I'll pretend I've won them.

There is a cut off time for the 18 mile race, you need to be back through the Abbey at 9 miles within 2 hours 15 minutes (so 1.15pm) If you're not; you can't continue.

This is an experience, if you want to come and take it seriously; if you're worried about your mile splits, this really isn't the event for you. If on the other hand, you want to come along, drink too much booze (there's loads at most feed stations,) dance like you're having a seizure, act like a buffoon and laugh at really bad jokes - then come along. You'll find out that the Hartbreaker is a small event that caters to a dedicated crowd of like-minded individuals who put friendship, nature and good times ahead of VO2 max stats - also - best bring someone to drive you home (hic)

8 or 18 miles of lovely Devonshire coast paths, trails and stunning bluebell fields. This is an epic adventure that will take you through pleasure and pain and into the heaven of Devon. The mileage is wildly inaccurate- it's not 8 miles -it's closer to 9 (although could be 10 this year with the new route!) and the 18 miler is not 18 miles, it's just long. And hard.

This Race only takes places because our wonderful volunteers if you think you could be one of them then please sign up here. Note it is possible to help and still run.
