STL Women's Trail Summit is designed to bring together a group of female runners who share a passion for running, the outdoors and the promotion of an active lifestyle in their communities. The weekend event is open to all women, whether they are a novice or a seasoned trail runner. The purpose is for attendees to inspire and learn from one another, foster new connections, improve female participation in trail running, and become ambassadors of the sport.

The number of women trail runners is substantially lower than that of their male counterparts. I believe this gender gap does not stem from a lack of resources or equipment, but rather from fewer opportunities for women to learn and progress in a relaxed and positive environment. My hope with the launch of STL Women’s Trail Running Summit is to reverse this trend by offering women’s-only trail running content focused on providing high-quality instruction in a fun and encouraging environment. The event will not only encourage women to try trail running for the first time, but also help runners fine-tune skills and progress into harder and more exhilarating skill levels!

The summit will be based out of Otis Brown Shelter at Greensfelder County Park in Wildwood , Mo. Participants will enjoy 24 hours of camping outdoors, multiple trail running skills and safety clinics while exploring the trails around Greensfelder County Park, with a hike and night trail run on the beautiful, single-track trails that St. Louis County has to offer. Lunch , dinner and breakfast will be provided.

***This event will be capped at 35 Participants***

Grab your trail running shoes and join us for a weekend D.I.R.T!!!
