SPECIAL RIDE THIS TUESDAY AS WE PREVIEW THE HILLY CHORLEY GP ROUTE.
We're expecting to be joined by top local rider Ricky Haughton of the Ribble Pro Cycling team for this ride (Tue April 10th - NB We'll leave a bit earlier than usual at 5.30).
We'll leave the showroom at 5.30pm this Tuesday to complete a loop based on the Chorley GP race lap. We'll cover 27 miles including the long climb from Rivington Reservoirs, up Sheep House Lane and over to Belmont.
The ride will be led by ride leaders from Ribble Cycles.
It's likely to split into two groups but each group has a 'no drop' policy so no one gets left behind.
Group One - Intermediate
Approx. Speed - 14 / 16 mph or 22.5 / 26 kmph
Duration - 2.25 hours
Group Two - Advanced
Speed - 17 / 19 mph or 27 / 31 kmph
Duration - 2 hours

(The Chorley GP is the opening round of the National Spring Cup road race series and will be held on Sunday 15th April. The start and finish is in Park Road, Chorley. Racing on Sunday will be five riders from the Ribble Pro Cycling team)
On a normal Tuesday we take in 2 or 3 laps of a 10 mile loop via Brindle, Hoghton and Gregson Lane.
