The Annual King Holiday Bike Ride!!! Let Freedom Ring!!! Celebrate the King Holiday with a bike ride from the Old Decatur Courthouse to the Historic King Center in Atlanta. We will depart the Old Decatur Courthouse at 10am on a scenic route through the cities of Decatur and Atlanta. We’ll cycle to the King Center on Auburn Ave where we will pay our respects to the great civil rights leader. Join hundreds of cyclist on this annual “no-drop” ride. We’ll return to the Decatur Courthouse after a brief tribute and a group photo. Enjoy lunch after the ride at various restaurants in the Decatur Square.

All MACC Riders will serve as Ride Marshals to help insure the safety of the ride.

The long option, 40 miles, will meet at 8:15am for a prompt 8:30am departure from the Kroger at Cascade Rd/I-285 (3425 Cascade Rd., Atlanta, Ga 30311). This option will cycle to the Old Decatur Courthouse to meet the main group for the 10am departure for the King Center. After the tribute and picture at the King Center this option will return to the Cascade Kroger bypassing the return to the Decatur Square. This is not a beginner rider’s option. Must be able to maintain at least a 14 mph average.

Helmets are required for all MACC rides. By participating in any MACC ride you accept the risks and responsibilities associated with group cycling. You are ultimately responsible for your own personal safety.
