Meet at the Y Club reception at 6:30pm. We’ll do a warm-up in the Castlefield Arena and then head out on the “Oaklands” route. The full route is just under 8 miles; we have 5-mile and 5-kilometre route options available if you don’t fancy running quite that far!
We will head from the Y Club up through Salford Crescent and past the Salford University campus (the 5K route will loop back through the campus and head back to the Y Club at this point). We then zig-zag around the Irwell a bit to get to the start of Littleton Lane, which is where the full route and 5-mile routes split: the full route heads up Littleton Lane to Oaklands, up the hill and then along Moor Lane, Bury New Road and Great Cheetham Street West to Albert Park, while the 5-mile route cuts this bit out and heads down Cromwell Road to Albert Park to rejoin the full route. To get back to the Y Club from Albert Park, we go down Great Clowes Street/Blackfriars Road and then alongside Trinity Way and over onto Quay Street.
