First off let's give a HUGE SHOUT to all the amazing Mothers, Motherly people, and people filling in the role of Mom when needed out there. Everyday should be (and is as far as we're concerned) but this weekend is yours :)

Secondly, a thank you to ALL who came out to our first Tour of LA Griffith Park run. It was a community filled event where a lot of wonderful energy was exchanged among people from ALL OVER.

Next up we have Brown Mountain on our Tour of LA stops. We can say this route is absolutely beautiful in every way. Some very passable creek crossings, fun terrain that opens to a beautiful fire rd with views to match. And you know it won't be a SoCalTrail picked route without a little challenge :).

Keith will be leading a short talk to discuss the route and we will be departing at 7:30am. This run is for people of all levels and there will be flour markings by Keith and some special local trail runners to guide you on whichever route you'd like to take. The short route GPX will be down below. Please bring plenty of water and nutrition regardless of which route you take for YOUR OWN SAFETY. We will have some snacks, water, and Skratch electrolytes post run. Please RSVP so we can know how much to bring for everyone.

Parking: IM PUTTING THIS IS CAPITOL LETTERS TO HELP MAKE EVERYONE AWARE.

THE LOWER LOT IS A FRISBEE GOLF COURSE AND FIELD WITH PARKING. WHEN YOU TURN IN FROM OAK GROVE YOU'LL DRIVE IN AND DRIVE DOWN BELOW WHERE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO CLEARLY SEE OUR SoCalTrail VOLUNTEERS AND TOUR OF LA LEADERS. IF THERE IS NO PARKING BELOW, PLEASE GRAB A SPOT AT THE TOP OF THE PARK WHERE YOU ENTERED. CARPOOL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SO WE CAN CONTINUE TO BE RESPECTFUL OF THE COMMUNITY WE ARE RUNNING AND RESPECTFUL TO MAMA EARTH.
