Mt Weather Time!
For most of the winter season, we meet every other Thursday evening to trek up (& down) Rt 605 to the Mt. Weather FEMA facility. This is a road run, mostly gravel, and is a heck of a workout. ~ 6 miles round trip.

WHEN: Jan 20 at 6:30 pm

WHERE: Mountain Baptist Church, 790 Frogtown Rd, Bluemont, VA 20135

HOW: We will start with a group warm-up for about 1 mile from Mountain Baptist Church onto Mt Weather Rd/Morgans Mill Rd to the start of the real climb. From there it’s 2.12 miles of steep road up to the FEMA facility. We’ll tackle the climb in staggered starts (faster people at the back), so we all get to the top at approximately the same time. Then, we party back down the hill together in relaxed fashion.

ROUTE: Turn right out of the church parking lot onto Frogtown Rd (Rt 606). Take the next left onto Morgans Mill Rd (Rt 605) and follow it all the way to the top of the mountain to the T intersection with Blue Ridge Mountain Rd (Rt 601) at the entrance to the Mt. Weather FEMA facility.
