Saturday Ride

This week we will be riding the Old Hwy. 178 into Lake Isabella. Meet at the Chevron station on 178 & Weedpatch by 7:30 to form carpools and get directions to start location.
We will start just off the 178 exit to Kern Canyon Rd. There is a dirt parking area on the left side of the road just past the exit. The route into Lake Isabella is between 30-35 miles round trip with roughly 2,000 feet of elevation gain. We plan to stop in LI for some refreshment. If you'd like to add on a few miles, it can easily be extended by heading around the lake in either direction.

This ride is for all levels. The route was also part of what was the Slow Spokes led by Richard & Jo Stewart. Always a good one in the fall when the trees are changing colors. Good memories here!
