PDX Gold 2023. A Trail of Two Bridges

Meet Up Spot 3340 SE Tenth Ave
Tempo / Killer Climbs

This year's PDX Gold is a Trail of Two Bridges. Note the date change. The ride will be on Father’s Day June 18, NOT June 11 as previously planned.

PDX Gold is the B-sides album of the PDX Classics. All the west side Portland climbs and cuts that didn’t make it on the Greatest Hits albums - Ronde PDX and Giro PDX. And it starts and ends in SE PDX. Little known and utilized fact: Yes it is totally safe and completely free of road crossings to ride over the Ross Island Bridge on the big high and wide sidewalk. I promise. Come ride. I’ll show you. We'll also reveal the only safe cycling/pedestrian passage under Hwy 26 in West Portland. (note: route updated 6/14 to remove the second passage under 26 that is not currently clean or safe)

55 miles and about 7000 feet of climbing. Route is 98% paved. A road bike with 25's + skillz will work. If you prefer, bring a little more rubber for the few dirty cuts.

We’ll have the midway aid station at a new location - mile 31 at Spring Garden Park. The finish line celebration station also finds a new home on the Springwater Corridor. Refuel and recover with donations from GU Energy Labs, Skratch Labs, and New Belgium Brewing. The ride is free but please bring cash to support the non-profits Gifted Wishes and Community Cycling Center if you are able.

As always - this is an unsanctioned group ride. You're responsible for yourself and your actions.
