Last Tuesday of the month! Come out for the workout and then join the Highland Runners for a free drink at Shake Shack! Bring your ID if you prefer beer/wine.
Warm up for 15-20 minutes.
We will divide into 2-3 groups of comparable paces. Everyone will line up and the first person calls out the workout. It can be "run one 800m at 10K pace on the oval and then do 25 jumping jacks" or" jog to Ladies Waiting Room and run a mile at HM pace" or "run to the first scooter on the left and run back at 3K pace," "run to the 10th lamppost at a 5K pace." It's their call. Then that runner goes to the back and the next runner calls out the workout. You are in charge! Everyone should get a chance to lead once.

Cool down and stretch after. Then enjoy a cool drink at Shake Shack and share stories.

The Atlanta Track Club encourages runners of all abilities to join us for Club Night Tuesday at 6:30 pm at Piedmont Park. This fun weekly event offers runners the opportunity to join together to encourage each other as we pursue our individual racing goals.

Street parking is available on Piedmont, 10th Street, 12th Street and 13th street. Paid parking is available at the Botanical Gardens or at Park Tavern. Please arrive early and jog 10-20 minutes to warm up. If you are late and the workout has started it is recommended that you warm up and then join the workout with the appropriate group.

All runners run at their own risk. If you are injured come out to jog/walk and support your friends but do not participate in speed work. If you feel you cannot repeat the speed effort stop and cool down. There’s always next week! If you have to leave the workout before the group finishes be sure to let me know.
