This is a very technical route. If you are not comfortable riding up and down steep ledge, Do not attempt this ride.

This route hits all the best tech in Hale. The tech can be very challenging but it's all rideable (by a few) and a lot of fun for most. Some trails, like Strawberry Hill Trail, have a super tough start to the trail but it quickly turns into a fun rideable trail with challenging features. The first technical trail is Power Glide. Just off the powerlines is a large rock you need to get around then take a hard left on top of the ledge to follow the main trail.
The next technical trail you hit is Strawberry Hill. Don't get discouraged by the start. It improves considerably after the first 100 yards.
After Strawberry Hill, you hit upper and lower Powisset Porch. We left the middle Powisset Porch Trail off the route as few riders can stay on their bikes on this trail. Go ahead and try it if you are so inclined. Lower Powisset Porch is especially fun. There is a closed connector trail that shortens Lower Powisset Porch. Please don't open it. You are simply missing good trail.
After Powisset Porch you go south of Dover St. Once across the street, take a hard right. This trail starts out easy but just wait - it's coming. The technical trails are fairly easy until you get to the start of Peacock Ridge. The start of this trail is tough tough tough but it starts to flow once you get to the top.
Once you head back across Dover St., the end of this route lets you get some trail under your bike and shake out all that tech with 3 -4 miles of fairly comfortable single track.
